Over the past five years, our security has been more visible to the public and has had an impact in the decrease number of incidents in our parking locations. There has been a decrease of property theft, property damage, trespassing, graffiti, and panhandling since 2005. Our security staff works with the Long Beach Police Department to ensure public safety.
The Parking Division Security Staff also issues out citation warnings to vehicles who are in violation of parking regulations, such as not paying for parking, being parked in a reserved handicap stall, etc. The number of violations has increased annually since 2005.
